Nick Doherty specialises in Firearms Licensing Appeals for RFDs and individual certificate holders. He has 40 years’ experience in the law relating to firearms licensing and classification. He is the co-author, together with Laura Saunsbury, of the Firearms Law Handbook. It is possible in some cases to instruct Nick on Direct Access without the need for a solicitor, thus reducing overall costs.

Laura Saunsbury is a consultant solicitor with London firm Lewis Nedas Law who has been specialising in firearms licensing law for over 20 years. In addition to advising RFDs and individual certificate holders in relation to firearms licensing appeals, Laura can also provide expert representation in police station interviews and at court where a dealer or individual is suspected of a criminal offence which is connected with or may have a bearing on them being a certificate holder. Laura co-authors the Firearms Law Handbook with barrister Nick Doherty and is a regular contributor of legal articles to Gun Trade insider and other shooting publications.

Stuart’s focus within the gun trade is the protection of its members (individuals, organisations or businesses) through his expertise in civil and commercial law.
Stuart is a partner at Harrison Drury solicitors with over 30 years’ legal experience. He is an advisory member of the GTA, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers and a regular contributor to the Shooting Times & Country magazine. His work in and around the gun trade has spanned several decades.
His detailed knowledge of firearms related matters and specialist experience in working with the gun trade over many years, enables him to provide bespoke advice on a wide range of civil law related legal issues.
