Have your say on Firearms Licensing Performance in England and Wales

Dear GTA Member

In recent weeks, His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) has engaged with trade and shooting organisations, including the GTA, to review the status of six Firearms Licensing Departments in England and Wales. This review is a police-led initiative and is NOT related to the lead ban or the forthcoming Home Office Sections 1 & 2 consultation.

At the end of last week, HMICFRS contacted GTA inviting comments from our member RFDs. The attached letter provides details of this review as well as a link to the survey. Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, but it offers an important opportunity to share your experiences directly with HMICFRS.
