Position being recruited: Armourer
Description of role:
This full-time role involves the safe storage, inspection, issue and receipt of NRA and member firearms. It includes ammunition handling, record keeping, and involvement in the NRA’s retail emporium. The position requires a high level of administrative accuracy, including maintaining firearm records in compliance with current legislation using the NRA’s IT and RFD register systems.
The role is customer-facing and includes assisting with retail stock, sales and purchasing, as well as distributing ammunition for competitions, attending firearm-related incidents on the range, and routine maintenance and repairs of NSC-owned firearms.
Place of work: Bisley Camp, Brookwood, near Woking, Surrey
Required qualifications:
Essential: Previous shooting experience
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication skills (in person, by phone, and email)
Ability to commit to weekend shifts and summer hours
Must have own reliable transport (or easy access to Brookwood station)
Ideally holds an Armourer’s qualification (e.g. ex-military Armourer)
