Full Time Shooting Instructor
Ian Coley Sporting Ltd, located close to Andoversford, Cheltenham; is one of the UK’s leading gun shops, shooting schools and country clothing retailers.
We are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent attention to detail to take up the position of Shooting Instructor. This is an exciting time to be joining our expanding business and be part of an industry-leading team.
We operate a 5-day working week which includes Saturdays. You will need to have access to your own transport as we are based in a rural location.
The successful candidate will:
Be an experienced Shooting Instructor, comfortable teaching across both clay and game disciplines to all ages (10+) and levels of experience, from beginner to advanced.
Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure our clients keep returning time-after-time.
Have good communication and organisational / time-keeping skills.
Be pro-active in cross-selling other areas of the business (Gun Shop, Country Clothing, Events, Competitions and Sporting Agency).
Have an enthusiastic, ‘can do’ attitude, and be self-motivated but also able to work in a team.
Other desirable skills:
A sound knowledge of shooting sports in general.
Experience of operating / maintaining clay traps and target setting.
Basic MS Office and computer literacy skills.
Duties will include:
Providing professional shooting instruction to individuals and small groups.
Assisting with corporate days, competitions, and occasionally outside events such as Simulated Days.
Working on the Shooting Ground and assisting in other departments as business needs require.
‘Caddying’ for customers occasionally and by arrangement.
Handling customer enquiries.
